To fully understand Hello Upstate, we must first travel back to Feb 2002. Two months after graduating college and four months after the horrific 9/11 attacks, I packed two suitcases and moved to NYC. No job, no housing, just the goodwill of friends and family, and a desire for change. Fast forward 17 years, I met the love of my life, and we now consider New York home; split between NYC and Rhinebeck. What started as a weekend refuge, has quickly become our new home base. Our mission is simple. The Hudson Valley is not only our playground, it’s our full-time home. We hope to showcase the beauty that the Hudson Valley has to offer, with curated reviews and real-world write-ups of popular tourist hot spots, but also local haunts that we come across in our everyday life.
